The consultation lasts two hours during which the surgeon and his team perform a thorough examination of your eyes. The purpose of this examination is to establish a complete diagnosis and to suggest the most appropriate intervention technique (Femto Lasik /TransPKR / Supracor).

• Evaluation of your vision (with and without dilation)
• Corneal topography (mapping of the anterior and posterior surface of the cornea)
• Pachymetry (corneal thickness)
• Aberrometry (optical aberration measurements)
• Fundus (examination of all areas of your eye) and eye pressure
• Pupillometry (test to evaluate the reaction of your pupils to different light intensities)

The operation
When you arrive, you may be offered a relaxing drink. You will then lie comfortably in the operating theatre under the laser device, and an anaesthetic will be administered simply by instilling eye drops that numb the surface of your eye.

A small retractor holds your eyelids open and the procedure can then proceed according to the method chosen beforehand (Femto Lasik / TransPRK / Supracor).

The operation is quick (around 15 minutes) and painless.

The first phase, access to the corneal treatment zone, is carried out.

Then, in the second phase, the laser modifies the curvature of your cornea according to your correction. Thanks to the Eye-Tracker, the laser follows the micromovements of the eye during treatment, ensuring perfect precision and safety.

You will be provided with protective eyewear as soon as you leave the operating theatre.
