A former Chief Resident for three years at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Geneva University Hospital (HUG), Dr. Sylviane von Gunten has been an independent physician since October 1998. Alongside her private practice at the Clinique des Grangettes, Dr. von Gunten pursued training in refractive surgery with Dr. Korol at HUG between 2000 and 2002.
It is worth noting that during her specialization, Dr. von Gunten studied in Boston at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital. She also obtained an Inter-University Diploma (DIU) in refractive surgery and phacoemulsification in June 2004 at the University of Bordeaux (France).
